The Commencement Ceremony of the Mero2 Project was Successfully Held
BOMESC signed a contract with Single Buoy Moorings Inc., a wholly-owned company established by Dutch listed company SBM Offshore, for the fabrication of FPSO topside modules, assembly and commissioning of modules connected to hull, and held the commencement ceremony on March 16, 2020 in the structure workshop at Lin’gang fabrication yard. Mr. Winson Peng, the Chairman of BOMESC and his senior management team, the representatives of owners of SBM and their project team attended the ceremony.
The FPSO constructed by the Mero2 Project is a representative product in the field of offshore oil and gas development, one of the most core products of BOMESC and another large-scale project undertaken by the company in the field of offshore oil and gas, which allows company to integrate services for FPSO from design, procurement, fabrication to final assembly, further strengthen the company's performance in engineering, industry reputation and technical advantages in the field of offshore oil and gas, and maintain a higher competitiveness in the future market. The overall project plan is to start fabrication from March 2020, and deliver all the modules by the end of March 2022. The commencement ceremony is an important milestone of the project which marked the start of the project fabrication.
