To comprehensively improve the level and ability of scientific and technological research and development (R&D), reasonably plan the talent development strategy and fully take corporate social responsibility, Chairman & President Peng Wencheng and Chief Engineer Dai Chunyang, on behalf of BOMESC Offshore Engineering Company Limited (hereinafter referred to as the “BOMESC”), launched a far-reaching activity of scientific and technological R & D and school-enterprise cooperation with Tianjin University, so as to set up the BOMESC-Tianjin University Ocean Engineering Equipment Laboratory of Mechanical Discipline and the BOMESC-Tianjin University Scholarship Base on September 15, 2014.

Tianjin University spoke highly of the school-enterprise cooperation. Li Jiajun, President of Tianjin University, warmly welcomed the visiting group and had a talk with them, during which he expressed his attention to and expectation of the current situation and future of school-enterprise cooperation. Yang Zhiyong, Vice Dean of the Mechanical Engineering College, presided over the completion ceremony. Feng Yaqing, Vice President of Tianjin University & Chairman of Beiyang Education Development Foundation, signed the donation agreement with the BOMESC on behalf of the University. Some distinguished guests attended the ceremony and delivered speeches, including Han Yugang, Deputy Director of Tianjin TEDA Science and Technology Development Bureau, Li Xiumin, Director of Tianjin University Alumni and Fund Office & Secretary General of Beiyang Education Development Foundation, Wei Jianhong, Vice Director of the Research Institute, Ren Chengzu, Director of the Mechanical Department of the Mechanical College, and Zhang Qing, Professor of the Mechanical and Electronic Department of the Mechanical Engineering College.
