Signe Brudeset, the Norwegian Ambassador to China and her Party Visited BOMESC
On February 20, Signe Brudeset, the Norwegian Ambassador to China and her party visited BOMESC. Kyrre Braekhus, the Economic Counselor of the Kingdom of Norway in China, Marc Courtemanche, the President of Statoil ASA China, Bard Bjerken, the Senior Lawyer of WIKBORG REIN ADVOKATFIRMA AS SHANGHAI REPRESENTATIVE OFFICE, Pei Zen, the Director of Northeast Asia Oil & Gas Market of Hilti (China) Distribution Limited, Gary Bennett, the Shipyard Business Director of Jotun Coatings (Zhangjiagang) Co., Ltd., Guo Yuan, the Business Development Manager of DNV Petroleum and Natural Gas Division of Greater China Region, Guo Jian, the President of China Region of Norway National Energy Chamber of Commerce accompanied the visit. Peng Wencheng, the Chairman and the President of the company, Wu Zhanghua, the Vice President, the department managers, and project managers participated in the reception.
In the forum, President Peng, on behalf of BOMESC, welcomed Ambassador Signe Brudeset and her Party, introduced in detail BOMESC’s business layout, current situation of development, business philosophy and the progress of key projects, reviewed the history of cooperation with famous Norwegian enterprises, and expressed thanks to the support and help given by the partners. As he pointed out, BOMESC Offshore Engineering Company Limited has based itself in China and serving the world all the time since its establishment 27 years ago; with 100% of the manufactured products exported to its international customers, it has been developed into an international EPC company specializing in the design and integrated construction for various modules in offshore oil and gas engineering, liquefied natural gas plant and mining industry, and has established long-term and close partnership with the offshore energy industry in Norway; it is expected that in the future, BOMESC and the involved enterprises in Norway will give full play to their respective advantages and carry out closer cooperation in the aspects of technology, equipment and so on under the concern and guidance of the ambassador.
Ambassador Signe Brudeset expressed her gratitude to BOMESC for the warm reception, and said that Norway was a developed country with modern industry, and focusing on the development of marine economy, China and Norway were important cooperative partners in Asia with a solid foundation and wide areas of cooperation. BOMESC and the involved enterprises in Norway have a profound cooperation foundation, broad cooperation space and good cooperation prospects. It is expected that both sides will, by taking this meeting as an opportunity, create more cooperation opportunities for Chinese and Norwegian enterprises with BOMESC as a typical example, solidify and deepen the China-Norway partnership in new areas such as ocean engineering equipment and new marine energy.
Subsequently, accompanied by President Peng, the Norwegian Ambassador to China and her party visited the Equinor project, which is being implemented jointly by Statoil ASA and BOMESC. During the visit, Yee Lee Leong, the Manager of the Owner’s Site gave a brief introduction of the project progress, and they visited BOMESC's construction site, and Phase V owner’s office building.
